Tottenham target Marcus Thuram

Marcus Thuram is a French attacker plying his trade in Germany. The rumours linking Thuram came from a reliable source, Chief Editor of Football at RMCsport Mohamed Bouhafsi.

Marcus Thuram joined Borussia Mönchengladbach in the summer of 2019 from Guingamp for $9.9 million (£7 million). The young Frenchman hit the ground running, scoring 14 goals and adding nine assists in his first season in the German top flight.

In year two with Borussia Mönchengladbach, Thuram scored 11 goals but upped his assist talley to 12. With 25 goals and 21 assists in less than 5,500 minutes with the German club, there is no doubt that Thuram produces.

Given Thuram is on the French team at Euro 2020, it would likely behoove Tottenham to get the young man signed before his price skyrockets.

Whereas Marcus was valued at less than $10 million two years ago, his current value on transfermarket.com is $38.5 million (£27.2 million), reflecting a healthy profit for the German club. Contracted until 2023 but apparently with an inactive release clause, Tottenham needs to get their act together and strike if Thuram is their man.
