It is off to the midlands for the final match of the 2020/21 campaign for Tottenham Hotspur who faces off with Leicester City at King Power Stadium. Both teams should be somewhat desperate to win the game with a desire for a better European future still in the frame for each. Ultimately, anything less than three points will be a disappointment for either fan base. So what can we expect as Leicester City hosts Tottenham Hotspur in the last match of the season?

Expect a proper football match to break out

Whereas many football games are extremely controlled by the styles of a given manager, when it comes to the last match of the season style is likely out the window. Both Tottenham and Leicester City are best on the counter but we’ve seen Spurs need the ball to protect a suspect defense.

With no more matches to save it for and so much to play for, this game should turn into an old-school game in the park. It will be the team with the last goal that wins, not necessarily the first.

Leicester need to win by more than one

We need to keep in mind, whereas a 1 goal win will do just fine for Tottenham, Leicester needs something more. Leicester is tied at 66 points with Liverpool but down by foul goals in the goal difference column. Chelsea, who Leicester only trails by one point has a plus-three lead over Leicester City.

The point is, the Foxes need to win and win big to try and cut the difference with Liverpool. This need for Leicester to push for not just a lead but more goals should open things up for Tottenham in trying to find space to attack the Foxes defense.

With Tottenham needing to win and Leicester needing to win big, both teams have ample reason to come out and play. Expect a fun back and forth barn-burner.

Besides a rip-roaring good match, here are a few more things to expect as Leicester host Tottenham in the Premier League.
