Three reasons for optimism in Tottenham’s win over Fulham

While it wasn’t Tottenham’s most convincing performance of the season, there were three resonating positive takeaways from the 1-0 victory over Fulham. 

Hotspur land watched on with bated breath as their side held on to the nip-and-tuck victory. The away side, especially in the second half, didn’t help alleviate the palpable anxiety and tension felt as supporters sat on the edge of their seats, hoping Tottenham had learned from previous lessons.

There was one particular moment where an increased heart rate was unavoidable. But, thanks to VAR, a spontaneous moment of anger and frustration morphed quickly into unparalleled relief. Unlike previous failed attempts, Tottenham held on to the narrowest of leads, escaping Fulham with a crucial three points.
