Three takeaways from frustrating Tottenham loss to West Ham

Tottenham blew another chance to stake their claim on a top four spot during this afternoon’s terribly frustrating 2-1 loss to West Ham. 

Just when optimism returned to the Tottenham camp, it was swiftly taken away by a 10-minute display of careless, inept defending. It’s not the first time we’ve seen such egregiously bad defending from this Spurs side and, without a change in personnel, it won’t be the last.

There were a couple of positives from the devastating day in East London, but it’s becoming more difficult to remain optimistic in the face of such infuriating, needless and catastrophic moments.
