Tottenham have dropped points in six of their last eight matches heading into a must win London derby with rival Chelsea, so who will José start in Spurs XI? With the season seemingly coming further and further apart for Tottenham, a draw is the minimum, but three points against an equally unsure Chelsea are exactly what Dr. Tottenham have ordered and Spurs need.

Several Spurs Still Out

Part of the struggles for Tottenham have been related to injuries and absences. Giovani Lo Celso’s extended stay on the sidelines has coincided with this dip in form for Spurs. Likewise, Dele Alli has been unavailable as a replacement for most of that time as well. Whether he is not practicing for injury or something out, if a player is not practicing they are not an option to play.

Making things worse, Spurs main playmaker this season – Harry Kane – is out as is newcomer and Sergio Reguilón. Reguilón is not KDB but he does have three assists himself this season for Spurs. This leaves Tottenham short handed – particularly in the attacking middle of the pitch and also on the left side as the minutes accumulate for Ben Davies and all Spurs left footed players tend to like to play from the right.

The Big Question is if Tanguy Ndombele can go or not for Tottenham

At this point the biggest question for Tottenham and injuries is likely around Tanguy Ndombele. The Frenchman was substituted in the second half against Brighton, which is nothing unusual, except he did appear to pick-up a knock. If Ndombele is out, that further depletes the attacking middle of the pitch and forces even more changes to the line-up. So Tanguy or not, here are the XI we think José Mourinho will roll out for Chelsea.
