How Tottenham performs in February will go a long way in determining the overall outcome of the season, so let’s take a look at what to expect next month.

Spurs have five Premier League matches, a fifth round FA Cup tie against Everton and a Round-of-32 matchup against Wolfsberger in the Europa League to look forward.

Tottenham supporters should realistically expect their club to advance in both cup competitions. Wolfsberger sit sixth in Austria’s top division,  mirroring Spurs’ current position in the Premier League. Expect the Austrian side to put up a strong resistance in this aggregate tie, with the fixtures scheduled to take place on Feb. 18 and Feb. 24.

While supporters should fully expect a nip-and-tuck battle, Spurs will have enough to advance into the Round of 16.

As an expert tactician and mastermind of the FA Cup, Jose Mourinho is expected to forge ahead in the competition, even with a difficult test against Everton beckoning. The match takes place on Merseyside on Feb. 10. Expect Spurs to win by the narrowest of margins, in a tight, dogged tussle.

Spurs’ five Premier League matches are against the following opponents: Chelsea, West Brom, Manchester City, West Ham and Burnley.

Garnering 10 points from those five matches is a realistic return. Mourinho’s side need to beat West Brom, West Ham and Burnley, while I’m predicting a draw against Chelsea and a loss to Manchester City. It would be a massive bonus — though improbable in actuality — to beat both City and Chelsea devoid of Harry Kane.

The Chelsea match is at home while Spurs travel north to face City. Kane might make his return away to City, but, if that happens, don’t expect the Englishman to dominate the league leaders after a couple-week injury hiatus.
