Midfielders

Serge Aurier: 2/10

Yet another reminder why Serge Aurier cannot consistently cut it at this level. Mane dominated Serge throughout in embarrassing fashion. Serge was partly culpable for Liverpool’s openers and endured another nightmare outing. How he still gets consistent first team action is beyond me.

Pierre-Emile Højbjerg: 9/10

Højbjerg impressed in every facet. He dictated play with the ball, interrupted numerous Liverpool attacks, passed with confidence and precision while scoring his first with Spurs, a world class strike from range.

Matthew Doherty 4/10

Matthew Doherty had a mediocre outing. However, he got way too tight on Mo Salah, who swivelled too easily, leaving Doherty in his dust. That led directly to Reds’ second goal.

Tanguy Ndombele 9/10

You can easily run out of superlatives to describe Tanguy Ndombele’s performance. He was dynamic, showed his incredible skill and performed majestically.
