Tottenham Hotspur Projected XI for Fulham in Premier League
By Aaron Coe
Tottenham Bench and Full XI
The Tottenham bench is heavy defensively but has three potential game changers on offense in the wings. After having no Brazilians in the side that went to Wolverhampton, both Lucas Moura and Carlos Vinicius make the team sheet. Additionally, Steven Bergwijn is back on the bench as a potential impact substitute for any number of positions across the attack.
It is either Sanchez or Dier since we have Rodon getting the call and Dier simply has the day off and Sanchez is there in case of emergencies. Ben Davies, Matt Doherty, and Moussa Sissoko are all there as the three substitutes no fans want to see, but Mourinho may have a hard time resisting. With Joe Hart of course backing up Hugo Lloris, that leaves only one other slot.
If anyone was paying big attention to the bench against Wolves a name that had not been seen a several weeks was there, Japhet Tanganga. Tanganga is a good multipurpose back and had been out with an unspecified shoulder injury. It was nice to see him back in the squad and since he got the call Sunday, no reason to think he would not be there on Wednesday. Winks, Dier, and the injured Gio Lo Celso all have the day off.
