U21 Depth, No Surprises in Tottenham Premier League Squad

Tottenham Home Grown Players
For starters, Tottenham have nine players who are classified as Home Grown by the FA, which as in UEFA does not include Eric Dier. Despite his nationality, Dier trained in Portugal as a youth and did not have three years with Spurs prior to turning 21, thus does not qualify as a Home-Grown Player.
The mix of nine Home Grown Players is a mix of returning players, new signings, and a bit of help from the academy. Ben Davies, Harry Winks, Harry Kane, and Dele Alli are the four returning Home-Grown Players. Then new signings Gareth Bale, Matt Doherty, Joe Hart, and Joe Rodon are all considered Home Grown Players by Premier League rules as it is not where you played last year, it is where you trained and all of those men trained in an association under the FA auspices.
The ninth member of the Home-Grown Player Quota was a bit of a surprise in Alife Whiteman. Although Whiteman turned 22 at the first of the month so he was not an option for the Under-21 list. While Whiteman is not likely to play the rest of the list is as are the non-Home-Grown Players for Spurs.
Of course, Tottenham could have had 10 Home Grown Players if Danny Rose had been included in the list. However, just as his number has been given away and he was left off the Europa League Squad list, Rose was not included as an option for the club this season.
