So, what’s the latest? According to Sky Sports, Bale will fly to London on Friday to complete his move back to Tottenham after having his medical in Madrid. So, in other words, the deal is effectively done.

Tottenham are a team with the ambition of becoming one of the best in the Premier League, return to the Champions League, and compete in all competitions this season. With Bale, they can.

Of course, a deal is never 100 percent done until the team announces it, but with his medical complete and Bale flying to London on Friday, it sure seems like this transfer is going ahead.
