Gareth Bale

Gareth Bale’s wage demands likely make this move impossible for Tottenham. And given his age and injury history, it’s likely Mourinho would rather go with a younger, cheaper option. But that’s why this would be a dream signing for Tottenham.

Bale can still play. And imagine what he could do for this Spurs team. He can score from anywhere, can beat defenders, and would form a dominant partnership with Harry Kane up front. Kane is one of the world’s best finishers, and he’d have plenty of chances created by Bale.

For whatever reason, Bale has been out of favor at Real Madrid and wasn’t even part of their recent Champions League squad to face Manchester City. Well, choose to not feature one of your best attacking players and you might well get eliminated.

If Bale does move, it will likely be to a team that can afford the transfer fee and his wages, but imagine he had his heart set on a return to Tottenham. It could make sense for him as he’d get to finish his career where he made a great impact years go. For Spurs, it’d be the type of move that can push them back up the Premier League table and maybe even contend for the title.
