Tottenham players actively on Twitter during crisis

Tottenham players have taken to Twitter more regularly in the face of adversity, supporting numerous causes as the coronavirus continues its worldwide assault. 

The lads have much more time on their hands at the moment, which many people can relate to. Here’s a snapshot of what some of the players are discussing on the Twittersphere.

Harry Kane

England’s captain wishes everyone a happy St George’s Day while offering some kind words to all of his compatriots. Kane is one of the most active Spurs players on Twitter, and is standing up for the NHS whenever he can. In the third tweet Kane shows Tom Moore support for spearheading JustGiving’s NHS fundraiser. Nice one Harry.

Dele Alli

A number of Tottenham’s Englishman have retweeted Hussain Manawer’s video depicting what England stands for in the face of the worldwide pandemic. It’s as inspirational as it is motivating.

Lucas Moura

Lucas Moura has retweeted  a Ian Wallis’ tweets showing an adorable reenactment of the Brazilian’s winning goal in Amsterdam last year. He’s also retweeted a reenactment of Moura’s first two goals on that famous evening in Holland.

Toby Alderweireld

Toby shows what should have been as yesterday was meant to showcase Spurs vs Arsenal in the North London Derby. It was the most agonizing of days, but seeing the lads on take on Arsenal again in the near future is something we’re all looking forward to. Toby also pays homage and friend Jan Vertonghen, whose birthday was on Friday.
