Tottenham’s new permanent signings, Giovani Lo Celso, Steven Bergwijn, Ryan Sessegnon and Tanguy Ndombele, have one thing in common: they all scored on their debuts.

It’s a refreshing, even staggering statistic. While the new signings have impacting differently Tottenham since their arrivals, each of the newbies enjoyed dream starts to their careers in north London.

Tanguy Ndombele debut goal vs Aston Villa

The Frenchman opened his Tottenham account with a nifty long-range finish against Aston Villa on August 10. The goal came on Tottenham’s Premier League season opener, making Ndombele’s introduction even more impressive.

Giovani Lo Celso début goal vs Red Star Belgrade

On a comedy of missed chances, Lo Celso followed up to stab home his first for the Lilywhites. Lo Ceslo is gaining confidence with every passing week and has been Spurs top performer in recent weeks. The future bodes well for this Argentinian in north London.

Ryan Sessegnon début goal vs Bayern Munich

Ryan Sessegnon entered the scene, in a Champions League away to Bayern Munich no less, in emphatic fashion. His piercing half volley against one of Europe’s best was Spurs silver lining in an otherwise abject evening. Hopefully that strike is a regular occurrence and not the exception as the youngster adapts to life in north London.

Steve Bergwijn début goal vs Manchester City

Steve Bergwijn’s début goal at home against City last week is unquestionably the best of the lot, both in significance and quality. He covered himself in glory and, in the process, has instantly become a favourite with Tottenham faithful. If can maintain his early goal-scoring record, Spurs are destined to participate in yet another Champions League campaign next season.
