Analyzing Tottenham’s chances of securing a top four spot

What is the likelihood of Tottenham, who are four points adrift of fourth place Chelsea with 13 matches to play, securing their fifth consecutive spot in the top four?
One has to think that Tottenham, after defeating Manchester City 2-0 at home last weekend, have finally come through their extended rough patch. If that’s the case, the Lilywhites are well poised to snatch the coveted fourth spot away from London rivals Chelsea.
Wolves and Sheffield United continue their fairytale seasons, with the former two points behind and the latter just a single point adrift of Tottenham. Count those unheralded underdogs out at your own peril.
Even though Sheffield United and Wolves won’t go quietly into the night, most believe Chelsea, Spurs and Manchester United are still the favourites to battle for the final Champions League berth.
And between those three Premier League giants, no team has a discernibly easier schedule. But some slight nuances arguably give Spurs the slight advantage going into an intriguing run-in.
