Lucas Moura 6/10

Lucas Moura’s work rate can never be faulted. He plays direct and gave Liverpool something to think about. He had three key passes, four attempted shots and three successful dribbles. He conceded possession a bunch too, but at least the Brazilian had eyes for goal.

Son Heung-Min 6/10

Son had one chance he’ll look back on in the aftermath. Hurried by Alexander-Arnold, the South Korean ballooned over from close range. Son worked hard throughout and showed glimpses of his vintage self but couldn’t quite hit the mark.

Giovani Lo Celso 8/10

Giovani was fantastic after coming on in the second half. He should have started. Lo Celso would have enjoyed a perfect rating had he scored at the end, on what has to be considered a sitter. Aurier delivered on a platter and Lo Celso couldn’t quite get it right. He was brilliant otherwise, wanting the ball and making things happen. More than I can say for Eriksen.

Erik Lamela 7.5/10

Like his Argentine counterpart, Erik Lamela was extremely influential after his introduction. He showed desire and drive, playing forward and causing apprehension in Liverpool’s rearguard. He should also start next match,.
