Tottenham, within a rollercoaster campaign, scored a whack of wondrous goals, including a few that will go down in club folklore.

Kieran Trippier banged home an exquisite long-range free kick at Wembley against Fulham. As Trippier’s memorable moments last season were so infrequent, you’ll probably remember this one. The Bury Beckham certainly has some panache to his game. It’s too bad we see it as regularly as a lunar eclipse.

The magical Brazilian popped up on the scene for two back-to-back beauties, one of which came at Old Trafford against Manchester United. He embarrassed United’s rearguard and whipped it past a helpless David de Gea. Moura has a third on the top 10 list too. I’m sure you can wager a guess as to which one that is.

Tottenham’s official goal of the season, presented by Son Heung-Min, whose gallant gallop from his own side of half was a spectacle that will be marvelled for generations to come. Son slipped through Chelsea’s defence like a vainglorious dude does on Tinder. There is no defence for a slippery Son at full speed. Just ask David Luiz.

Harry Kane to Dele Alli at the Emirates. Who doesn’t like the ring of that? Kane’s aerial ball was hit with the pace of a war missile, and Dele duly obliged, with a deft floated touch that left Petr Cech wondering why he hadn’t retired a year early.

Christian Eriksen showed his long-range brilliance against Everton, with a half-volley that was struck with purpose, venom and precision. It was the type of strike that makes one think twice about wanting him gone.

Kane’s was up to his old tricks at Wembley against Wolves. Cutting inside on to his weaker left foot, Kane unleashed a bomb from about 25 meters. A move from the top drawer, Kane proved yet again how devastating he can be with either foot.

Undisputedly my favourite comes from the Etihad in the Champions League quarterfinal second leg, courtesy of Tottenham’s player of the season. The importance of the goal and the stage it was scored on propel it ahead of the other contenders by a country mile. It was the most glorious of Tottenham days.

Eriksen’s left-footed winner from distance against Brighton also made the top 10. His vital strike helped ensure Spurs would secure fourth place and an automatic Champions League berth in 2019/20.

The top 10 is rounded out by the most epic, heart-stopping goal in club history. You all know which goal I’m on about. Moura defied all odds, punching Tottenham’s ticket to the Champions League Final with a miraculous last second goal in Amsterdam against Ajax. It still gives me goosebumps, and is a goal I could watch on repeat in perpetuity. It might not be the best technical goal of the top 10, but the grandeur of the stage and timeliness of the strike make it a goal for the ages.
