Tottenham chances of signing Tanguy Ndombele increase
Tottenham’s chances of signing Tanguy Ndombele have increased due to the indecision of those in competition for the player.
Tottenham Hotspur are chasing one of the most in demand players on the summer transfer market in Tanguy Ndombele. This is an issue with multiple folds to it. On the one hand it is a testament to how good the player is that he is rumored to be connected with Juventus, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint Germain. If all of those clubs with their extensive scouting teams are agreed that the player is of the right quality for them then that means Tottenham are on track with their assessment.
The bad news is that is a very large amount of prestigious clubs to beat out.
That all said it appears that the indecision of the other clubs and the raft of other transfers targets that they’re pursuing has allowed Tottenham to get to the front of the list which is important. Tottenham need the player and the sort of quality that he can add to the Spurs lineup is something that cannot be overlooked.

With Juventus pressing forward with their pursuit of Milinkovic-Savic and PSG also interested in Allan it appears that Tottenham’s singular focus could win out.
It would have been hard to beat such a large amount of teams out for the transfer of the player. With all the teams offering Champions League football and title aspirations in their domestic leagues this sort of disorder on the behalf of the others is exactly what Tottenham need.
Ndombele is one of the best midfielders available in Europe this season and it will be very interesting to see where he ends up. He would be a perfect addition at the base of the Tottenham midfield where Dier hasn’t offered the usual quality recently.
Tottenham need midfield reinforcements for than anything else at the moment. Having already lost Dembele in January and with the Dier and Sissoko tandem not offering the sort of creativity and talent in possession that is becoming more and more important with every passing season and player like Lyon’s Ndombele is incredibly important.
This would be a good move for Tottenham to close as soon as they can. With the other clubs distracted if they can agree the fee before the window technically opens it would be exactly the sort of raft the rest of the summer could float on and add a great deal of not only quality but positivity to Spurs as they continue to build on what has been a very successful season and show Mauricio Pochettino why he should resist the overtures he has been getting.
