Unfortunately of the teams in the top three Tottenham seem to have the most difficult run in towards the end of the season. Is it possible the stadium could provide the necessary boost for the run in?

Yes.

Tottenham’s new stadium is such a big deal in the history of the club that everybody in the organization from the players and support staff to the ticket attendants on match day should be excited.  The stadium will immediately be the best one among London’s clubs and could very possibly rival Wembley for the best one in England.

The question then becomes will it be enough to help Tottenham win the title?

I’m not sure in regards to that.  It should without a doubt be Tottenham’s goal to try and win the title this season.  They’re still close and crazier things have happened.  They’re a very small points total away from first position and have matches against both teams their chasing to try and make up the ground.

The frustrating thing is that it’s almost impossible to deny that Spurs will likely get a massive boost from the stadium once they begin playing there.  The problem is that they didn’t when they should have.  The delays have absolutely hindered the team and the club this season.

Tottenham were hoping to be playing in the New White Hart Lane by the end of the Christmas period and certainly around the beginning of the new year.  That is when Spurs needed the most help and without signings they were going to need to find it within themselves emotionally.  That is the sort of strength that comes from excitement and the support.

Spurs supporters have for many years now succeeded in helping the team by making a wonderful and loud atmosphere at White Hart Lane and surely would have helped the team on to a few further points during the period that dragged Tottenham away from the pinnacle a couple of months ago.

Had Tottenham gotten the stadium open and the extra points on the table a little sooner we could be looking at a very different table to the one that we are now.  It’s still possible for Tottenham to pull this thing together but with the points that both Liverpool and City have dropped in recent weeks it’s possible statistically that Spurs could in fact have been sitting on the throne at this very moment .

The stadium will undoubtedly help Tottenham this season for the run in but it may be just a little too little too late and that’s a shame because Pochettino and his men have done an admirable and honest job this season.
