Tottenham were set up for failure in an uninspiring 2-1 loss to Liverpool.

Well, I’m not sure that was worth the 4:15 am wake-up for those on Pacific time in the US. While this was not the most critical of what is a rather daunting 7-game stretch between now and the next international break in October; the loss to Liverpool certainly hurts Tottenham and again exposed chinks in the armor of what is currently a thin Tottenham side.

As I write the opening paragraph, I see Manchester City score 1:40 into the game against Fulham, as a reminder of how lethal they are. This could be but doesn’t have to be a long season. Where to begin with this one, I guess with the formation that should have left me in bed.
