With a trip to Old Trafford on the horizon, Spurs better come out of the gate flying for the start of the 2018-19 season.

Tottenham do battle with Manchester United

The fixture list is hot off the press, and Spurs supporters have some mouthwatering matches to look forward to, the first of which sees the Lilywhites travel to Manchester United on match day 3, on Saturday, August 25.

Tottenham host United in the return fixture on Jan. 12, 2019.

Spurs kick off their season away to Newcastle on Saturday, Aug. 11, a match that will hopefully inflict early pain on the Geordies. If you don’t remember last season’s trip to Newcastle, Jonjo Shelvey’s inexplicable mental lapse might help stir your memory.

Another tough match awaits Spurs as they host Liverpool on Sept. 15. Spurs dominated Liverpool at Wembley last season, winning 4-1. The return fixture goes at Anfield on March 30. Spurs conjured up an improbable draw in the correlating fixture last season, with Victor Wanyama scoring an unforgettable belter from long range.

Spurs host the champions on Saturday, Oct. 27, and travel to play at the Etihad on April 20. Tottenham must wait almost five months before playing Chelsea, with the first encounter coming from North London on Saturday, Nov. 24. On Feb. 27 Spurs make the short trip to Stamford Bridge. You might recall our last match there, when Christian Erisksen scored last season’s goal of the year.

Supporters must wait to December before what is always the most anticipated match of the year. Tottenham and Arsenal do battle on Dec. 1 from the Emirates Stadium before Spurs finally get to host the Gunners in their new stadium on Saturday, March 2.
