According to ESPN, Bas Dost is one of a host of players ready to terminate their contracts with the Portuguese giants after the bizarre training ground bust-up between the fans and players.
Many believe this is the perfect opportunity for Spurs to Pounce and finally, require an adequate partner for their talisman Harry Kane up top, and the fact the Dutch international could be available on a free makes him even more desirable after the season he just had.

The 29-year-old forward managed to find the back of the net 27 times in 29 appearances for Sporting last season, a record any forward would be proud of.
There will certainly be some hesitation about jumping into a deal to sign Dost, however, with Spurs’ two most recent attempts at trying to find Harry Kane a partner failing in the form of Fernando Llorente and Vincent Janssen.
Nevertheless, Kane could do with some pressure being lifted from his shoulders and bringing in another striker to help him out is seen by pundits and fans alike as a must for Spurs.
So could Dost be the man to give Kane some much needed back up? His record suggests he could well be, but the Premier League is undoubtedly a tougher league to crack than the Portuguese top flight and the Eredivisie.

Pochettino could see Dost as the perfect solution for partnering Kane upfront due to the Sporting star being potentially available on a free.
