By Liam Thomas
The rumour mill has been snowballing in the last week in regards to where Villa wonderboy Jack Grealish’s future lies, with Spurs emerging as favourites to sign the 22-year-old attacking midfielder.
Grealish came of age this season and was a stand out performer for Aston Villa en route to their Play-Off final defeat at the hands of Fulham a few weeks ago.
Villa’s failed pursuit of promotion has left the club with some serious financial woes and it’s now looking ever more likely the midlands club will have to let go of their prized asset Grealish.
There’s no hiding the fact of Grealish’s love affair with his boyhood club, Aston Villa and the attacking midfielder has been part of the villains set up since he was six-years-old.
However, this summers transfer window looks set to stage a bidding war for the 22-year-olds signature, and it seems like it’s finally time for the youngster to hallow the turf of the Premier League once again.

A host of Premier League clubs have announced their interest in requiring Grealish’s services. However, it’s Spurs that have now emerged as clear favourites to sign the villa number 10.
North London seems to be the perfect stomping ground for Grealish to realise the potential he has been showing glimpses of for a few seasons now.
Grealish would undoubtedly be an investment by Mauricio Pochettino, and with Moussa Dembele’s departure from the Lillywhite’s looking ever more likely, the talent and potential Grealish processes could be the perfect recipe for replacing the Belgian international.
Grealish would seemingly slot right into Mauricio Pochettino’s young English side, and undoubtedly fits the mould of the kind of player the enigmatic Argentine boss could nurture into something great.
Villa had initially slapped a £40million price tag on Grealish’s head; however, due to their current battle with HMRC, Spurs may be able to negotiate a cheaper deal which makes the prospect of Grealish coming to North London even more likely.

A match made in heaven? Grealish certainly fits the bill for the kind of talent Mauricio Pochettino is looking to bring into the squad, and if Spurs could negotiate a price for the attacking midfielder that is cheaper than £40million, it’d be an absolute no-brainer to bring one of the Championships stand out performers of last season into the Spurs ranks
