Spurs to make move for Palace talisman
By Liam Thomas
Spurs look set to renew their interest in Crystal Palace talisman Wilfried Zaha this summer when the transfer window re-opens.
The 25-year-old winger has been subject to two failed bids already from Tottenham, with Zaha’s current side Crystal Palace believing the winger is worth a lot more in today’s inflated market than the offers Spurs have put forward thus far.
Zaha’s worth to Palace has been no more apparent than this season, with the Eagles failing to win the nine Premier League fixtures he has missed due to injury.
Next: Who will start at left back for Tottenham next season?
According to the Daily Mail, Spurs are looking to fork out £40million on the winger. However, Palace values their prized asset at much more significant value.
This will be the third time Spurs have made a move for the Ivorian international, their first being in 2016 for a modest £12million with a follow-up bid of £21million in the same window, both of which were profusely rejected by Palace.
Zaha has been a shining light this season in a less than impressive Palace outfit who are currently fighting for Premier League survival.

The winger has scored four goals and assisted twice so far this campaign and looks set to leave Roy Hodgson’s side even if they manage to retain their Premier League status.
Spurs, however, will reportedly face competition for Zaha’s signature, with Premier League giants Chelsea also interested in signing the talented winger.
Zaha is currently under contract with Crystal Palace until 2022, earning £100,000 per week.
Tottenham’s pursuit of Zaha could come down to whether or not Palace survive the drop, with the winger likely to cost a lot less if they do end up going down.
Pochettino, however, is evidently in the hunt for a pacey winger to join the ranks at Spurs, with reports suggesting a deal was close to being made for Bordeaux winger Malcom in the last transfer window.
It remains to be seen whether or not Spurs will go all out in their pursuit of Zaha, but the 25-year-old winger has proved this season that he could well be worth what Palace are asking for him.
