The end of the season is in sight, whether or not Spurs will have Champions League football next season is still uncertain and this will inevitably play a huge factor in who they will be able to sign in the summer.

One thing that is certain, however, is that Spurs will be playing the beautiful game in a new state of the art stadium, something attractive to any footballer on the move.

With whispers of comings and goings rife at this stage of the season, let’s speculate on five players Tottenham should be making a move for when the transfer window reopens.

More from Tottenham News

Wilfred Zaha (Crystal Palace)
Despite signing winger Lucas Moura from Paris Saint-Germain in January, Zaha would be a welcomed asset to Spurs after some impressive performances for Palace this season. At 25-years-old there is still a lot left in the tank for Zaha and if Palace fails to secure Premier League status for next season, he’d be available on the cheap.

  Malcom (Bordeaux)
Malcom seemed to be linked with all the top Premier League teams in the last transfer window and for good reason too. At 20-years-old Malcom has been making waves in Ligue 1 putting in impressive performances week in, week out. Mauricio Pochettino is reportedly extremely keen on bringing the Brazilian to North London, and capturing his signature would send out a real message of Tottenham’s intentions going forward.

Johnathan Tah (Bayern Leverkusen)
As hard as it is to even contemplate replacements for Toby Alderweireld, unfortunately, it’s looking like his exit is on the cards. If the inevitable does happen then Spurs should turn their attention to German international Johnathan Tah. The only problem Spurs may face with Tah is that he won’t come on the cheap and with top class centre-backs few and far between at the moment in Europe don’t expect Leverkusen to budge easily.

 Ryan Sessegnon (Fulham)
Possibly the hottest prospect in English football at the moment, Spurs would be mad not to try and lure him to North-London. At 17-years-old Sessegnon has already been putting in dominant performances in the Championship for Fulham and has scored 14 times so far this season. With a rumoured England World Cup call-up on the cards, Pochettino would have to act fast before the teenagers price-tag skyrockets even more.

André Gomes (Barcelona)
The Portuguese international hasn’t had the greatest of times at the Nou Camp since joining from Valencia back in 2016. Nevertheless Gomes was required by the Spanish giants for a reason and under the guidance of Pochettino, Gomes could certainly flourish. The only central midfielder on the list, he could provide the likes of Eriksen some healthy competition.

So there you have five players Spurs should make a move for in the summer, when the transfer window reopens.

What do you think of these suggestions? Should Spurs be splashing out on some of Europe’s elite or trust in the Pochettino buying decisions that have worked so far?
