Wembley is truly starting to feel like home for Tottenham and Mauricio Pochettino is full of praise for his players after another professional and workmanlike performance.

The 2-0 final score flattered the visitors as Tottenham set the tempo from kick off, never letting their foot off Huddersfield’s exposed jugular.

"“We can say that Wembley is our home and that is so important for us,” said Pochettino."

Spurs are unbeaten in 17 matches in all competitions, their longest unbeaten run since 1967.

Spurs have no intention of changing their approach when Juventus come calling on Wednesday. The gaffer said his side will go into the pivotal encounter with the same mindset that allowed them to leave Turin with two away goals and a slight advantage heading into the second leg.

"“In the end it’s a football game and we’re going to enjoy it,” he said."

Pochettino was asked whether he expected Son Heung-Min to score so many goals when he joined Spurs, and the gaffer responded by saying that Son is an amazing player, someone who is consistent and always professional.

Son scored a brace against Huddersfield and was far and away Tottenham’s best player. He now has 10 Premier League goals in 28 appearances this season is hitting his best form at the most crucial time of the season. He’ll be raring to go against Juventus, especially as he didn’t start in the first leg.

In 90 appearances for Tottenham, Son has found the back of the net 28 times.

Pochettino has won 100 of his 197 matches as Tottenham’s manager. The journalist who stated the fact was obviously trying to brown nose Spurs’ boss, saying it is an impressive record.

Pochettino responded by saying, “It’s a good record? I don’t know. If you compare with who?”

The journalist said it’s a similar record to Kenny Dalglish’s. Pochettino wittingly retorted, saying that Kenny Dalglish is “a legend and I’m just a simple man.”

His humbleness is just one of Pochettino’s most endearing traits. The recently turned 46-year-old has numerous other strong suits and, once he starts winning silverware, will join Dalglish as a legend. Spurs supporters already hold him in that sort of high acclaim.

Chelsea are five points adrift of Tottenham with a match in hand. They play at the Etihad against Manchester City tomorrow; Pep Guardiola’s side are the only unbeaten team this season at home in all professional tiers of English football.
