February saw Tottenham compete in the FA Cup and Champions League while having to battle it out with some top four rivals.

Let’s take a look at some photos that best encapsulate a memorable month.

January 31st – Tottenham 2-0 Manchester United

OK, so it’s not quite February, but it set the tone nicely for a crusade of mouth-watering fixtures. United came into the game with the league’s best defensive record but were asphyxiated by a fervent Tottenham side from the off. Phil Jones was so bewildered that he buried one in his own net to double Spurs’ lead before the half hour mark.

February 4th – Liverpool 2-2 Tottenham

You certainly won’t see a more frenetic or dramatic last 10 minutes of a football match. From Victor Wanyama’s rocket to Jurgen Klopp’s premature touchline dash, it was an exceptional advertisement for the Premier League but perilous viewing for any Spurs supporter. As usual it was Harry Kane who had the last word, converting from the spot on his second attempt, joining the illustrious Premier League 100 club in the process.

February 7th – Tottenham 2-0 Newport County

It was long road back to fitness for Erik Lamela but in Tottenham’s replay against Newport County he played with enough energy to light up an entire city. He coolly slotted one home in the 34th minute to claim his first goal in 504 days.

February 10th – Tottenham 1-0 Arsenal

Jack Wilshere threw his toys out of the pram after the final whistle in a contender for photo of the year. Little Jacky is held back by the might of Kieran Tripper while a carefree Lamela laughs on as Mesut Ozil looks completely disinterested in coming to the aid out a teammate in distress.

February 13th – Juventus 2-2 Tottenham

Michale Dawson always wore his heart on his sleeve as a player, and the ex-Tottenham man couldn’t contain himself after Christian Eriksen drew Spurs level in Turin. Dawson donned the captain’s armband in Tottenham’s famous triumph in Milan during the same round of the competition years ago so he fully understands what it means to everyone involved.

February 18th – Rochdale 2-2 Tottenham

With Spurs again deciding to do things the hard way, the highlight of the game came from Danny Rose amid celebrations after Harry Kane’s equalizer. Danny shouted Ryan Mason’s name to the camera before kissing the lens in a moment that touched football fans of any affiliation. Danny came through the youth system with Ryan, who is still an adored figure at the club.

February 26th – Crystal Palace 0-1 Tottenham

Tottenham’s busy month concluded with a laboured but vital win against Crystal Palace. Kane headed Spurs into the top 4 with his 24th league goal of the campaign. But let’s not take the limelight away from history maker Serge Aurier, who became the first ever Premier League player to commit a hat-trick of foul throws in a single game.
