Tottenham Twitter Tuesday: Pochettino would rather work on farm than at Arsenal
By Gary Pearson
The rumours again swirl regarding Mauricio Pochettino’s future at Tottenham, but at least we know he’ll never join Arsenal, the gaffer saying he’d rather work on a farm than join the Gunners.Â
Nor Arsenal of Barcelona ever, says Pochettino
The gaffer has rebuked rumours of a move to Real Madrid, but won’t rule completely rule it out in the future. In other news, Pochettino says he’d rather work on a farm than join Arsenal and has no intention of ever managing Barcelona either.
Pochettino sees revolting the mere mention of working for Tottenham’s bitter North London rivals. It’s nice to see Pochettino get back to his transparent, candid best.
Happy birthday Peter Crouch
Often resembling a giraffe eating from the treetops, Peter Crouch celebrates his 37th birthday today. The timeless one is still scoring goals for Stoke and, if you can believe it, has been rumoured to be on Chelsea’s wish list. Crouch bagged 12 goals for Spurs during his two-year stint at White Hart Lane from 2009-2011.
Crouch, known for his heading prowess and congeniality, will always be welcome at Tottenham.
Happy birthday Dimitar Berbatov
Coincidentally, Dimitar Berbatov shares a birthday with Crouch. The pair of frontmen were not only born on the same day, but the same year, too. Berbatov, who enjoyed breakout years in the Premier League with Tottenham, celebrates his 37th birthday today.
The phenomenal talent showcased his talent for Spurs between 2006-2008, scoring 27 goals in 70 appearances. The crafty Bulgarian had a knack for the extraordinary, bringing the White Hart Lane faithful to their feet with one swift, creative swing of the boot.
