The amount of Tottenham Twitter banter usually dips during an international break, but there are still lots of tweets to discuss in our weekly roundup.

Dele Alli and Kieran Trippier sketched

Zoe Pearson, no relation to me unfortunately, is rekindling her love for exquisitely sketching Tottenham players. This depiction of Dele Alli and Kieran Trippier is spot on. Not only does it reflect raw emotion, but uncannily resembles the players. It’s emotive and compelling, particularly considering the momentous moment it reflects, when Trippier and Alli combined for Tottenham’s opener against Real Madrid in the Champions League. Kudos Zoe. You hit the nail squarely on the head.

Mike Dean is at the helm for the North London derby

@TalkingTHFC has superimposed Mike Dean’s head on a Spurs shirt. Arsenal supporters are going mental about the FA’s decision to let Dean preside over his seventh North London derby. Dean, however, is by no means a Tottenham supporter, but it’s always nice to rub salt in Gunners’ supporters gaping wounds. Gotta love the depiction! Humour at its best.

Our favourite Son vs. Davinson Sanchez

Our favourite Son got the best of Davinson Sanchez during the international friendly between South Korea and Colombia. Son and Sanchez are both beloved at Spurs, but watching them go head-to-head in international action offered a completely different dynamic. On this occasion, Son enjoyed the last laugh.

Davinson Sanchez’s remarkable start with Spurs

Speaking of the Colombian center back, take a look at Davinson Sanchez’s record since joining Spurs earlier in the season. Sanchez has started 11 games since arriving from Ajax, and the rangy, stout center back is still undefeated when starting for the Lilywhites. He’s won nine of 11 games in which he’s started. We always knew he was going to be influential but his first 11 matches have easily exceeded expectations.
