What a week for Spurs, who go into the international break on the back of three consecutive, dominant away wins.

Kane scorches all comers in September

While not for lack of trying, Harry Kane struggled to find the back of the net in August. In fact, Kane still hasn’t bagged an August Premier League goal. Good riddance to bad rubbish. September was the polar opposite for Kane, who scored 13 goals for club and country. The man with the master plan bagged more goals than he’s ever scored in one calendar month. This chatter about whether Kane is world class is absolutely asinine. No matter the competition, Kane always delivers. He is world class and eventually even the most stubborn deniers will capitulate.

Spurs mirror Kane’s September success

The tweet says it all: Spurs played seven games in September, six of which resulted in wins. The 0-0 stalemate with Swansea at Wembley was the only blemish in an otherwise flawless month. The away Huddersfield performance was, for me, the best Premier League match of the month. Kane is hands down the player of the month, but Ben Davies made a valiant attempt at claiming that honour. He was superb on both sides of the ball.

Three Lions and a Great Dane

The most poignant tweet of the week comes from @6footnewt. The message perfectly encapsulates the image, made even more impactful by the monochrome background. Three Lions and a Great Dane could easily become the title of an epic movie. Kane, Dele Alli and Harry Winks are now on England duty while Christian Eriksen will do his utmost to continue his stellar goal-scoring streak with Denmark. I can’t get over the majesty of the ensemble.
