Dele Alli and Harry Kane reached respective centenary Tottenham milestones in the win against Everton, with Kane scoring his 100th goal and Alli making his 100th appearance.

Kane, the quickest to 100 goals

It has thus far been a pretty damn good week for the Lilywhites. Kane emphatically opened his 2017-18 Premier League account at Everton on Saturday, scoring his 100th and 101st Tottenham goals. What’s more remarkable is how quickly Tottenham’s poacher has blown past the 100-goal barrier.

The 25-year-old scored 100 goals faster than every other Premier League great, including Alan Shearer, the all-time goal-scoring record holder. He has bagged100 goals in 167 games, reaching the milestone nine matches faster than his nearest competitor, Ruud van Nistelrooy. It’s an astonishing accomplishment from a player who, if he remains in the Premier League until his 31st birthday, will smash Alan Shearer’s 260-goal record. Mark my words, this man is destined to sit alone on the goal-scoring Iron Throne.

Dele Alli makes his 100th Tottenham appearance

To round out the perfect afternoon on Merseyside, Dele Alli made his 100th Tottenham appearance. He would prefer to have marked the occasion with his third goal of the season, but that’s of little consequence considering is usual prodigiousness. The 21-year-old sensation has scored 30 goals in just over two seasons, the youngest Tottenham player to reach that milestone.

All things considered, he is one of the most valuable midfielders in the world. Raising a middle finger high and proud to your critics, we look forward to your next 100 matches in a Spurs kit.
