The social media world is always abuzz with noteworthy and newsworthy Spurs tidbits and this week was no different as the club agrees terms for Juan Foyth.

Quadruple Dutch

Akin to a feeder club, Ajax has provided Tottenham with four players in recent seasons, three of whom are crucial members of the starting 11. The fourth, Davinson Sanchez, will undoubtedly join his former Ajax compadres in Tottenham’s top 11. The big question is how long it will take for Sanchez to infiltrate the top squad. My bet is not long.

Mousa Dembele’s 200 Tottenham appearances

Mousa Dembele put on a Spurs shirt for the 200th time on Sunday against Burnley. The powerful midfielder has been a brilliant ambassador for the North London club, and there’s much more to come from the 30-year-old. The Belgian international signed with Spurs five years ago today. Here’s to another outstanding five years, Mousa.

Serge Aurier signing still pending

The outcome of the Serge Aurier transfer will be confirmed tomorrow. Aurier is waiting on a work permit. If authorized, Aurier is expected to join Tottenham imminently. The right back would most likely usurp Trippier as Spurs starting right back but much is to be decided before that potential eventuality.

Spurs reignite Zaha interest

Guess who’s back, back again? It is being reported that Spurs are back in the running for Wilfried Zaha. Negotiations would have to move at the speed of light for Zaha to join Tottenham before the Sept. 1 transfer deadline. With too much left to do, I see this more as hopeful thinking than anything else. Then again, Daniel Levy loves last-minute deals. He is, in some circles, referred to as lastminute.com.

Terms agreed for Juan Foyth

Thanks to Mauricio Pochettino’s influence on the young Argentinian defender, Juan Foyth is on his way to North London. Foyth, who Tottenham HQ profiled six weeks ago, publicly pledged his desire to play for Pochettino.

Next: Hoodoo aside, what's wrong with Tottenham at Wembley?

It looks like he’s about to get his wish. With Tottenham’s transfer history replete with near misses, one can never count their chickens until the fat lady has used her soprano voice to bellow a version of “When the Spurs go marching in.” But this deal is as good as confirmed.
