Fun Friday: Best Tottenham tweets of the week

Thus far no transfer rumours have come to fruition, so let’s dig into some of the highlights from the week on social media, particularly the Twittersphere.

Tottenham-branded vodka on sale

If you’re having trouble coping with elevated stress caused by rampant transfer speculation coming to naught, go straight to Costco and grab yourself a bottle – or three – of Tottenham-branded vodka. It’s distilled by Bohemian Craft, a self-labelled super premium vodka which is made from British grain alcohol. This libation will certainly, albeit temporarily, dilute, and subsequently numb stress while waiting for a few new players.

Happy belated birthday Danny

Happy belated birthday to Danny Rose, who turned 27 on July 2. The first-choice England and Spurs left back missed a large portion of the run-in last season through injury. He is obviously chomping at the bit, waiting on pins and needles for the Premier League season to begin. Not long now, Danny. His name is Harry Kane

This might be a bit of a stretch but we love the connotation. A player with all of the below attributes would appear in a cape and have the capacity to fly on a whim. While there is no arguing that Kane is on the verge being a demigod, he hasn’t reached superhero status. He is, however, only 23 so there’s still bundles of time.

Legends among legends

Jimmy Greaves visited Hotspur Way today, his presence an honour for all the other Spurs staff seen in the picture. Greaves is still Spurs top goal scorer, the legendary striker had 220 goals while playing for Tottenham. Greaves is currently 77 years old and will forever be cherished by anyone associated with Tottenham Hotspur Football Club.
