The season has officially ended, and what a season it was. Here’s the best tweets from the final week of a wondrous campaign.

The best striker in England

@HotspurRelated summed it up pretty well with this concise tweet about Tottenham’s lead man. Kane won his second consecutive Golden Boot, scoring seven goals in his final two games. He played in seven fewer games than runner up Romelu Lukaku, making the accomplishment that much more admirable. What a season from the legend in the making.

Spurs thrash Leicester 6-1

I imagine most Spurs fans would have no qualms about letting this video tweet roll over on repeat. If you’re having a tough go at the office and are in dire need of something to brighten your day, look no further. Tottenham exploded for six goals in their second most comprehensive away win of the season. I never thought they’d better that total in the very next game, when they smashed seven past Hull. But this Spurs outfit are full of memorable, happy surprises. Reminiscing about these kind of performances have an uncanny ability to turn ones day around in an instant.

Only one Michael Dawson

You’ve gotta feel for Michael Dawson. The long-time Spurs stalwart bled Lilywhite from 2005-2014. He was for ages, with Ledley King’s incessant injury trouble, the backbone of Spurs’ defence. The 33-year-old is coming to the twilight of his career but he was – and still is – a beauty. What a tribute these Spurs fans gave the former Tottenham man. Nothing but class all around.

The best quartet in the world

Take a minute to absorb the below numbers. As staggering as they are impressive, Spurs quartet scored 91 goals between them this season in all competitions. That’s two less than the three relegated sides – Hull, Sunderland and Middlesbrough. Now I know it’s not fair comparing the quartet’s goals in all competitions versus the doomed team’s Premier League goals but you get the point. These four players are stunning and turn heads every week. Keep this quartet together and it’s only a matter of time before Spurs are holding the Premier League title aloft.
