Though it hardly comes as a surprise, Tottenham striker Harry Kane won the Premier League’s Player of the Month honors for February after a remarkable run of form.

In a month busy with Europa League and FA Cup duties, Kane still managed to score four goals in three Tottenhan Premier League matches.

Three of those goals, of course, came in the rout of Stoke City at the end of the month. Kane secured his hat-trick within 37 minutes of the opening whistle, then provided the assist for Dele Alli’s first half stoppage time goal. The match would end 4-0, with Kane’s hand — er, foot — in each goal.

That success was compounded by a performance that didn’t happen in the league. Against Fulham in the FA Cup’s fourth round a week before the Stoke match, Kane also scored a trio of goals to secure victory for Spurs.

Prior to that Fulham hat-trick, Tottenham were seemingly stuck in a mire following poor performances against Liverpool and Gent. As has happened so many times before, the 23-year-old’s singular talent has a way of pulling the rest of Tottenham along with him.

Unlike previous such talents at Spurs — see Bale, Gareth — Kane’s efforts can’t be said to be the only thing keeping the club aloft. The Premier League’s best — and highest scoring — striker is joined by arguably the best pair of full-backs and centre-backs in England.

Then, of course, there’s Dele. The 20-year-old wunderkind earned the same award just a month prior in January thanks to five goals and an assist. Heung-min Son also won the award for September after a fiery start to the season.

Kane won this same honor three times prior in his career, making him the youngest such player in Premier League history to reach four such awards. He also passes by Bale as the most-rewarded player in Tottenham’s history.

With three months left in the Premier League season, Kane’s job is far from complete. He will continue to lead his side in their efforts to qualify for the Champions League and, perhaps, win their first FA Cup in over twenty years.

That latter pursuit will continue this weekend as Tottenham take on Millwall at White Hart Lane. Pochettino might be tempting to rest Kane for the week, but given his stunning run of form it would be hard to keep him out.
