Last season’s title contenders face off once again as Tottenham host Leicester City at White Hart Lane on Saturday.

It’s a match that might not look exactly like their two Premier League clashes last season. Those results — a 1-1 draw at Kings Power Stadium early in the season followed by a 1-0 Tottenham defeat at home in January — were cagey affairs, with both sides trying their damnedest to loosen the other’s grip on the game.

Now though, these two sides meet as they sit in opposite halves of the table. Tottenham haven’t perhaps reached their best, but manage to be one point away from league leaders Manchester City all the same. Leicester, meanwhile, have struggled to reclaim their momentum from last season. They sit 12th, with the worst away record in the Premier League.

It’s still early yet in the season, and Claudio Ranieri has more than enough tools at his disposal to reverse Leicester’s downward trend. Mauricio Pochettino has one eye on Wembley for Wednesday’s match against Bayer Leverkusen, but seems set to name a strong side here all the same.

Before the match gets underway, check out some of HotsputHQ’s coverage over the past week.

First, Chris Nano runs down the reasons why Tottenham’s recent string of draws are no reason to worry.

Co-editor Alex Balano coverage Pochettino’s press conference on Friday, and has diligently followed the progress of the injured Toby Alderweireld and Harry Kane.
