Tottenham have 12 days until the start of their 2016/17 Premier League campaign, and the news is predictably coming quick and fast.

There’s some pending transfer news — both incoming and outgoing — plus the likely re-introduction of some familiar faces to Tottenham’s pre-season. We’ve also got the last pre-season match of the summer, plus a first look at some of Tottenham’s competition next term.

For the club itself, most of the week will be about integration. Mauricio Pochettino elected to give the bulk of last season’s starting XI extended rests after their exertions in this summer’s European Championship in France, which means that fans have yet to see a full strength Tottenham team in the pre-season. That should change this week.

In the background of all of this is churning of the transfer rumor mill. While Tottenham has already brought in Victor Wanyama and Vincent Janssen, they are still reportedly on the market for another player or two.

One such deal might end up finally being completed over the next week, but not before a current Tottenham player heads in the opposite direction.

Let’s get into the meat of all these impending news stories and see what there is to be excited about at Tottenham as the new season nears.
