Although England has been in northern France since arriving on Monday, Tottenham Hotspur right-back, Kyle Walker, says he feels at home in Chantilly after their latest training session.

Roy Hodgson’s squad is currently training at the Stade de Bourgognes in Chantilly, Oise which is located in northern France. While England (and every other country competing in the Euros except for the host nation) are far away from home, one player, Tottenham’s Kyle Walker, says he feels at home since the team arrived on Monday.

"“It’s been great, obviously you can see the training facilities that we’ve got behind us, they’re second to none,” Kyle Walker said (via FA’s official site).“And the hotel is the same, it’s very relaxing.”“For me it even feels homely, so I’m relishing getting started now.”"

A good part of that homely feeling for Walker is greatly aided by playing and training alongside his Tottenham teammates: Dele Alli, Eric Dier, Harry Kane and Danny Rose. With five Spurs players on England’s squad, Mauricio Pochettino’s side is the most represented on Hodgson’s team.

"“It’s great, obviously, to play with players that you play with day-in, day-out,” Walker added.“It makes you feel at home in a slight way, and it’s good to have them around us.”"

Because Roy Hodgson has selected a balanced team of youth and experience for this summer’s Euros, the Tottenham right-back says that it’s a good combination and should be a good tournament for England.

"“I think we’ve got youth in the team, and a little bit of experience as well, which always is a good combination,” Walker continued.“So I think we’re just relishing [the chance] to get started. I’m eager to get started and I know all of the other players are, and hopefully it can be a good tournament.”"

With Tottenham’s Danny Rose set to start against Russia at left-back due to Southampton’s Ryan Bertrand suffering a groin strain against Australia, one piece of the starting backline has been filled. Over at the right-back position, whether Liverpool’s Nathaniel Clyne or Spurs’ Kyle Walker starts, Walker is ready to support Roy Hodgson’s decision.

"“I think that whoever plays, out of me or Nathaniel Clyne, is going to be fine,” Kyle Walker said.“Listen, we’re both good players, so we’re going to be fine. He’s got my support forever if he plays.”“International football is a little different to club football and you need to get your head around that, but I think I have matured.”“I am 26 now and time is waiting for no one. Hopefully I can just have a good tournament for myself and the country can do well.”"

In terms of winning the Euros, the 26-year-old says they could go all the way.

"“I’d like to think all the way,” Walker added (via Sky Sports).“I would not be here if not. It’s an exciting young squad and hopefully we can do the business on the pitch and make our country proud.”"

England should make it out of their group along with Wales. After that it’s based upon who the Three Lions get in their draw for the knockout stages. But if they’re able to get favorable match-ups, there’s no reason why England can’t go far and potentially reach the finals.
