Tottenham Players’ Summer Schedules

And all the rest
Christian Eriksen, for all his talent, could not force his native Denmark into qualifying for this summer’s Euros. He will get some much needed rest, however, in between friendlies.
Heung-min Son’s situation with South Korea is interesting. There’s a chance that he will be obliged to leave Tottenham in order to fulfill South Korea’s compulsory military service if he cannot find his way through the loophole that permits international tournament winners (or medal winners at the Olympics) from skipping such service.

This puts Son and Tottenham in a strange position. It’s obviously best in the long run for Son to miss valuable playing time to serve in the military, but for him to participate in the Olympics in Brazil he will have to miss the first few weeks of the Premier League season. How that plays out remains to be seen, but it seems likely that Tottenham will let the player go.
