Arguably one of the finest goalkeepers active today, Lloris’ 73 appearances for France make him the most capped man on Didier Deschamps’ squad this summer. Barring something unfortunate, he will appear in every match for France during the tournament.
How much Lloris’ unusual skillset — specifically his abilities as a sweeper-keeper — get utilized by Deschamps remained to be seen, but we’re no doubt due for no shortage of spectacular saves.
