A late Tottenham Hotspur Links has appeared.

While Tottenham came away with a big 3-1 win over Crystal Palace on Saturday, it came at a cost, and that was losing Jan Vertonghen to an apparent knee injury with 15 minutes left to go. Since then, no word has come out on how serious the Belgian center-back’s injury actually is. However a picture appeared on Instagram and Jan Vertonghen is on crutches.

In other news, Karen Brady who has gone on record to say that she will reject any potential offers for a possible ground-share — depending on who it is — has been rejected in attempting to veto Chelsea and/or Tottenham from playing at the Olympic Stadium. West Ham United must co-operate if a club comes calling for permission to ground-share. Now scroll down to read more on these stories.

With Tottenham training in Barcelona for the time being, a Spurs fan managed to get a picture taken with Mousa Dembélé, Jan Vertonghen and Michel Vorm. Easily spotted on the picture was Jan Vertonghen on crutches.

Obviously, that doesn’t look good. But at the same time, it’s a guessing game on how serious of a knee injury it is for the Belgian international. That, and a picture doesn’t say much in all honesty.

Vertonghen’s knock could be as minor as Ryan Mason’s (he missed seven games with a knee contusion) or as serious as Clinton N’Jie’s MCL injury that has him sidelined for at least two months.

But seeing as how Tottenham have four different options for the vacant left center-back spot, which fellow Hotspur HQ editor Ryan Wrenn took a look at and even ranked, Spurs should be fine in the end. Even if this is a big blow for Mauricio Pochettino and Tottenham to lose one of the club’s key players with a congested schedule only getting worse.

A veto to prevent Chelsea or Tottenham from ground-sharing with West Ham United’s soon to be Olympic Stadium this summer won’t be happening for the Hammers and vice-chairman Karen Brady.

Because they don’t actually have the power to do so according to the London Legacy Development Corporation during a hearing today (Monday, January 25th).

Instead, West Ham must co-operate if there were to be any potential ground-share with other clubs who need a temporary venue to play in while renovations to an old arena or a new one is being built.

So, yes, Karen Brady, you might have to share Olympic Stadium with Tottenham. Besides it’s only for a season, so what’s the problem?

And in any event, the first option has been Wembley Stadium with stadium:mk (MK Dons’ stadium) the other option to consider for Tottenham. Meaning that while Spurs were beaten to the Olympic Stadium in 2011, it’s currently a third option and not much of a priority at this moment in time.
