Following Thursday’s 4-1 win over AS Monaco in the Europa League, read the transcripts from Spurs’ manager Mauricio Pochettino and midfielders Érik Lamela, Tom Carroll and Josh Onomah.

Thursday’s game would be the final group stage match in the Europa League and all Spurs needed was just a point to claim first place. Tottenham had already booked their spot into the Round of 32, but topping Group J would ensure that Spurs wouldn’t be drawn against any of the Champions League clubs who failed to advance further into the knockout rounds from the group stage.

That being said, there’s still a chance that Spurs draw against a tough opponent in the Europa League like Borussia Dortmund for example. The Round of 32 draw won’t happen until Monday, but before that there’s some important business to take care of. Namely getting a much needed win and locking up fourth place in the Premier League on Sunday against Newcastle United.

And now, it’s time to hear from manager Mauricio Pochettino.
