Today’s Tottenham Hotspur morning news is coming in earlier than ever.
If you were expecting an evening edition of Tottenham Hotspur Links last night, well that was in the works except there were no news to write about. Why? It was Halloween. Writers were off for the day so that they could go home and then take their kids out for trick-or-treating. Now that we’ve cleared things up, it should be different today. Here’s the latest morning news to digest.

It’s not often that you’ll see players returning home to watch their [former and hometown] team play when they have free time. But Dele Alli is one such player who will do just that. After completing a Saturday morning practice, the 19-year-old midfielder would travel to Milton Keynes and watched his team play against Hull City. The outcome wasn’t what Dele Alli would have liked, a 2-0 loss to Hull City, but he did praise Josh Murphy who is currently on loan from Norwich City. All in all it seemed to be a good weekend for Tottenham’s central midfielder.

TEAMtalk is basing their report on an article from The Sun — which they didn’t link to — which states that Bayern Munich are “looking at stars for the future and may move at the end of the season”. If Daniel Levy isn’t going to sell Harry Kane to Manchester United despite Louis van Gaal willing to spend £50 million on a striker who has one season under his belt at the Premier League level and has now gotten his groove back, for now, Daniel Levy won’t sell Harry Kane to Bayern Munich for the same amount or more.

This article is all hypothetical, but Bleacher Report brings up some interesting aspects. The current youth movement that Mauricio Pochettino is known for — in helping it be fully established in his nearly one-and-a-half seasons as manager — wouldn’t have been as successful if Tim Sherwood didn’t get things started. Meaning, Sherwood who was a youth academy coach at the time knew which players would have eventually been stars for Tottenham once they were promoted.
At the same time however, under Tim Sherwood’s guidance, an offensive attack would mean they might concede more goals. Also, there could have been some veterans who may have been sold if things didn’t work out since Sherwood would throw players under the bus. With Mauricio Pochettino as Tottenham manager, players like Dele Alli, Toby Alderweireld and Heung-Min Son might not have been signed. In essence, there are pros and cons if Tim Sherwood would have still been Spurs’ manager.

That tweet looks like it’s coming from a second-hand source even though Alexandre Pato’s name is referenced. Does Pato have a Twitter account? Did he really say this quote? These are questions that must be answered because when he was still playing in Europe with AC Milan he started off his career with plenty of success for a stretch of three seasons (2007-2010).
Unfortunately on February 28, 2010 Alexandre Pato would injure his hamstring and miss some time. Upon returning, this same injury would prevent him from completing the 2009-2010 season, meaning Pato was only able to make 20 appearances. From 2011-2013 injuries would continue to pile up and a steep decline ensued.
After playing in Brazil for nearly three years this upcoming January, if he stays, the Brazilian striker who is still only 26-year-old, will be willing to leave São Paulo, a club who he’s currently having success to test if he can play well once more in Europe. Hopefully it works out for him, whether it’s for Tottenham or not.

Honestly, £15 million isn’t going to scare off teams from attempting to sign Jamie Vardy this winter. Leicester will undoubtedly reject any transfer bids as they should, since Vardy is helping them win games. But it’ll be hard to say no to £50 million if some teams come calling and are willing to go that high.

Leicester City aren’t in financial trouble at the moment, so yes there’s no need to sell. But just think about the amount of money that could potentially help the Club out throughout the entire squad and youth academy. It’ll be beneficial in one aspect and not so much in another. Right now, the price is just too low and it invites clubs all over Europe to sign the 28-year-old in-form striker.
