Get your fix of Tottenham Hotspur news with some hot links!

Hotspur HQ is here to present everyone a daily links dump (weird name in all honesty). While there is already a weekly daily link post, that will still happen. Doing a daily and weekly link post will keep all of us Tottenham Hotspur fans connected with our one and only club. With that said, here’s the first edition of the daily links. This post will cover morning, afternoon and evening stories so check back often to see what’s new.

– Tottenham are monitoring Eden Hazard’s brother, Thorgan Hazard [via Daily Mail]

This is an interesting transfer rumor by the Daily Mail. Now while Tottenham currently have an abundance of attacking midfielders on their 24-man squad as is (Christian Eriksen, Heung-Min Son, Alex Pritchard and Josh Onomah) plus others that Mauricio Pochettino fancies playing out of position, why would Spurs be interested in Thorgan Hazard? It’s because why not? More attacking midfielders would be good for this team. If Hazard costs too much and Tottenham gets rejected then no harm done, at least Pochettino is looking for more attacking options to bolster his team.

Tottenham looking to sign one of Arsenal’s summer targets, Simone Zaza [via Football Fan Cast]

The striker position needs help so it’s not surprising that Tottenham will be looking to inquire as many strikers as they can in the month of January before not actually signing anyone. Don’t get me wrong, Tottenham surely needs help for Harry Kane whether it’s rest, playing him deeper, having someone play alongside him or whatever. But technically speaking Clinton N’Jie and Heung-Min Son can play as the lone striker in Mauricio Pochettino’s 4-2-3-1 formation. If everyone expected to see Kane score 31 goals on a yearly basis then sadly that’s not even remotely realistic, that’s not even FIFA or PES numbers unless you’re playing on the lowest difficulty. Harry Kane will score goals eventually, when it happens is anyone’s guess but don’t write him off.

Ebbsfleet United allow Tottenham to take Shilow Tracey on trial [via Ebbsfleet United official website]

The 17-year-old Shilow Tracey is a striker and will be given one week to train with Tottenham. Based on his age and the kind of player that Ebbsfleet United has on their hands it’s no wonder that manager Daryl McMahon has given Tracey the opportunity to learn from players at a Premier League club, which is a high level for a youth prospect whose team currently plays in the National League South. It’s unknown if Tottenham could get anything out of this trial besides keeping tabs on Shilow Tracey.

Rangers’ manager Mark Warburton explains why Tottenham loaned Nathan Oduwa and Dominic Ball [via HITC]

More from EPL News

Learning about the world is probably some fancy coach talk or something, although it is better than saying “Spurs wanted their youth talent to get first team experience and come back from their loans as better players.”

Sending both Nathan Oduwa and Dominic Ball away on loan, was a good idea as the two players weren’t going to be called up to the first team anytime soon. Playing with Tottenham’s Under-21s would have been good but being able to secure a loan move (two in this case) with Mark Warburton once again was great. So why not send two young promising talents to the Scottish Championship and learn about the world?

Kyle Walker talks about Mauricio Pochettino’s managerial approach [via HITC]

Tottenham currently outruns every single Premier League club this season, which could be a good thing or not. But what’s more telling from Kyle Walker is how Mauricio Pochettino is great at being a player’s coach. Someone who is there to talk whether it’s about football or not by leaving his door open at all times. It’s great that the Argentine coach can be reached at a personal level, but can Tottenham get a win in the month of October because it’s starting to resemble August. Spurs have remained consistent this year whether it’s winning (September) or going winless (August and October). Maybe the team should talk about this instead? Just a thought is all.
