Wrapping Things Up

Wrapping up the second round of Premier League action, Spurs will travel to Wales to face the exciting and potential top six-club that could be — Swansea City. Sitting fourth in the table to this date, Gary Monk’s Cinderella club may or may not be playing in their current terrific form.

Refusing to give in to the Premier League norms, they will continue to strive and not slow down, as they are headlined by former Spur and Icelandic international Gylfi Sigurðsson, new signing André Ayew, flamboyant French striker Bafétimbi Gomis and “King Bald” Jonjo Shelvey.

Last year, winning on a late goal by Christian Eriksen in the pouring rain, Spurs will be well aware of the challenge that is to be, come October 4th.

Now with eight games out of 38 played and out of the way, Spurs will step away for 13 days before once again and return to White Hart Lane for an early morning kickoff against Liverpool on October 17th. Considering the rundown of games to come, I would say that fixture, all be it, is one to get up for, but most certainly neither here nor there.

Come on you Spurs!
