Final Thoughts

Mauricio Pochettino has a good group of youth players during this pre-season tour and the 23-man squad that was named on their trip to Munich, Germany could possibly be almost the finished product before the Premier League starts.

A few names will have to be added and dropped but for now the majority of the lineup looks to be just about set. Right now it’s a balanced group which isn’t bad — it could be better of course.

Tottenham can’t challenge for the top four with this current squad however, it’ll be tough with clubs around them improving or being better overall.

A couple of signings have to be brought in for that to happen, but they could at least try. Spurs were close last year, by six points from fourth.

Finishing fifth is more likely but if the play on the pitch improves and the club earns more points, it’s an improvement despite a similar ending; not reaching the top four.
