Like Krychowiak, López can also play the central midfielder and center back positions, which should make him a sought after player.
If Kevin Wimmer is the only center back signing, then Tottenham would need more reinforcements, especially if Vlad Chiricheș and Younès Kaboul get sold.
This way there is depth at the center back position, plus a player to help give Ryan Mason and Nabil Bentaleb rest when needed. It helps that he is currently valued €5 million cheaper than Grzegorz Krychowiak.
