Mauricio Pochettino: First Tottenham Team

Mauricio Pochettino has selected his first Tottenham team for a competitive match. First up for Spurs in the Premier League are West Ham at Upton Park. After weeks of speculation among fans on who should and should not be in the team, Spurs new Head Coach has made his decision.
Injuries have had their say on his final decision as has this summer’s World Cup Finals in Brazil with players returning late to pre-season training due to their involvement in the tournament until the middle of July.
Absentees
Kyle Walker and Vlad Chiriches have missed out as they recover from injury while the World Cup players Jan Vertonghen, Mousa Dembele, Nacer Chadli and Paulinho who have not played in any pre-season games have been omitted as they continue to build up to full fitness.

- In Walker’s absence, Kyle Naughton continues at right-back as he did through the final three months of last season.
