He volleyed home from a back-header by Smith but it wasn’t to be as the ‘goal’ was disallowed by the referee after consulting his linesman. Afterwards Greaves told reporters,

"I thought my ‘goal’ was on-side. I was very surprised when the referee disallowed it."
