For those interested, on Sunday afternoon, the 10th NFL game to be played at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium took place, as the Chicago Bears faced the Jacksonville Jaguars.

There were plenty of familiar faces around, including manager Ange Postecoglu, and first team players Timo Werner and Djed Spence, both of whom were not selected for international duty for the October break. Werner took a photo with Cairo Santos of the Bears before the game took place.

The pre-game graphic put out by the NFL’s official page on Twitter, showed Trevor Lawrence of the Jaguars doing James Maddison’s darts celebration, and Caleb Williams of the Bears doing Heung-Min Son’s camera celebration. Talk about influence.

It was a very fun and entertaining game to mark the occasion, with the Bears running out 35-16 winners over the Jaguars. This result gives the Bears a 4-2 record this season, whilst giving the Jaguars an alarming 1-5 record, as their situation continues to worsen, having already had a coaching casualty so far this season.

The aforementioned Caleb Williams of the Bears became the first NFL player to reach four touchdowns at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Pretty impressive for a Sport that is played the other side of the Atlantic in the most part.

It was a great spectacle, with an attendance of 61,182 at the game, as the NFL grows ever more popular all around the United Kingdom. A shame for renowned NFL fan Harry Kane that he was unable to make the game, having been on England duty with current Spurs striker Dominic Solanke.

The NFL chief said earlier this week that Tottenham Hotspur are conscious of growing their brand when it comes to American sports, and that the NFL were “looking to create their mini super bowl in London”. He further added that both the NFL and Spurs could help each other to grow. He implied that there has been progress since the initial idea of there being one game a year in North London.
