8 goals in 10 days for young Spurs forward, could Ange's head be turning?

Heading into this summer's transfer window, much of the talk around the recruitment strategy in the Hotspur Way boardroom is bound to be dedicated to attacking options, even after last week's extension of Timo Werner's loan.
But could Daniel Levy, Ange Postecoglou, and technical director Johan Lange possibly check the fridge before shopping in the competitive and lucrative European and worldwide markets?
Possibly a portion of Parrott, my good sirs?
Troy Parrott has had a whirlwind two weeks. On loan in the Eredivisie with Excelsior Rotterdam, the young Irishman scored a hattrick against Den Haag in the second round of the league's relegation playoffs.
Three days later, he scored a consolation goal in the first leg of the third round, offering his side a slim chance in the second leg.
6-2 on aggregate, Excelsior's hopes of beating the drop were given a shot to the arm when Parrott completed his second hattrick in just over a week to draw the tie at 6-6 before NAC Breda struck a late dagger to ultimately send them down.
Two days on from those dramatic scenes, the 22-year-old is named on the bench in Dublin for the Republic of Ireland's international friendly with Hungary on Tuesday evening.
In a fairly drab affair worthy of the international friendly title, Parrott was introduced on 62 minutes with the score at 1-1.
It was clear for the few in attendance in Dublin's Aviva Stadium that the Spurs loanee was a man brimming with confidence, as he looked to constantly run at defenders despite playing in his less favored wide right position.
Then, with virtually the last kick of the game, the ball broke to Parrott after an Irish press. He broke clear to move one-on-one with the keeper before producing, admittedly by his standards, not the cleanest of strikes off the keeper's foot before it looped into the Hungarian net.
Tuesday's gloomy affair in the Dublin rain brought an end to the brightest season of Parrott's senior career. Despite the Rotterdam outfit's relegation, the Spurs man notched up 23 goals and assists in the Eredivisie. (Transfermarkt).

8 goals in 10 days for young Spurs forward, could Ange's head be turning?
For context, that's just six fewer goal involvements in one less appearance than £40 million-rated Santiago Gimenez, who continues to be linked with a move to N17 after being spotted at April's North London derby (football.london).
Signed from Irish schoolboy team Belvedere in 2017, Parrott was often thought as the heir to Harry Kane's throne, showing strong capabilities with some standout performances in the UEFA Youth Champions League.
Since then, he has spent some time in the Championship and League One with mixed results due to injuries and form factors.
After missing out on Tottenham's preseason last term due to injury, he eventually secured a move to the Dutch top flight.
Of course, Spurs fans may render both sides of the Parrott/Gimenez argument, and possibly the entire Eredivisie null and void, given the excitement and eventual letdown of one Vincent Janssen who was signed to provide backup for Harry Kane in the summer of 2016.
However, given Parrott's age profile, energy, and willingness to adapt his game, could we see Postecoglou give him a chance to show his worth this preseason?
Furthermore, Parrott is now just one of four club-grown senior players following the release of Ryan Sessegnon, Japhet Tanganga, and Eric Dier this week.
We have seen the ruthless streak in the new running of the club, but given new Premier League rules based around homegrown players, could we even see Parrott get given his chance by default?
